Memorial Day MADNESS!

Good Afternoon Admissions!
Today is Memorial Day and the Front Gate is busy busy! So much going on today! There is a hustle and bustle in air as we are all very busy with helping guests and their arrival process into the park.

Our focus of the week is ATTACKING THE MAPS!!!!!....not literally though. Now what we mean by that is whenever you see a guest and they are holding open or just simply looking at a map go up to them and ask what they are looking to find and offer assistance in getting them where they would like to go!

This week we would also like to show you guys some pictures Admissions team member Chris took while at one of the media days for the Bizarro ride!

WOWZAS! Those are some great pictures Chris! Looks like we may have a photographer on our hands! We hope that Chris and any other SFNE team member who participated in the Bizarro media day had a great time! If anyone would like to see all of Chris' pictures let Chris or Snoogals know.

On Wednesday Mike & Jojo rode the Sky Coaster attraction. While they actually WON the season pass bet, Jojo may have fib a little bit to get Mike onto the attraction. Here are a few pictures from that:

Well that is all for a now. Unfortunately this week we did not have enough time to do a Leadership Member of the Week but maybe we will update the blog later in the week? HMMM? Maybe. Perhaps. We guess you will just have to keep checking back to see!

Helloooooooo Admissions!

Hey Admissions team members hayyyyy!
First off we'd like to thank all of you who helped out Team Ops in the Walk in the Park bake sale last weekend. We successfully raised $40 to help cure pediatric cancer! We hope you all enjoyed all those delicious cookies and cupcakes! YUM!

This week's Admission Leader of the week is Mike! This is Mike's fourth season at SFNE. He started off working in Flash Pass and then mosied his was over to the Admissions Department. He was a Lead in our department for a season and a half and this is his first season as a Supervisor in Admissions. Here is a picture of Mike collaborating on the schedule with Snoogals & Bubbles. They really enjoy working together as a team!

Above is Mike attempting to fix the copier in Operations. Mike is a very hands on guy and enjoys trying to piece things back together. A few more fun facts about Mike is that his favorite color is orange & his favorite band is Metallica. He enjoys eating pasta while watching his favorite TV show Law & Order. While working at SFNE he likes to give Bugs Bunny free high fives and he loves to run the gate.His absolute favorite part of the Admissions department is Jojo, Snoogals, and all the team members he gets to work with. In his free time he likes to hang out with his friends and listen to Lil Wayne. His favorite movie is Taken and he loves to drink a lot of water. Although Mike works at a theme park he does not enjoy rides and his favorite scent is Hollister cologne. He loves dogs and his hobbies include working out, riding his quad, and chilling out. His dream job would be to own his own electrician business and eventually live in California.

Whew! Now we all know a little more about Mike & his glamorous life!

Next weekend is Memorial Day weekend and the water park will be open! On Friday the water park hours will be 12-6 and Saturday, Sunday, & Monday it will be open from 11-7. Also next weekend is the start of the park being open full time! That's right, the park will be open everyday! WHOA! Next weekend is also when the Season Pass Sky coaster Challenge results will be revealed. Dun Dun Dun! Jojo & Mike are shaking in their boots! And by boots we mean park appropriate shoes!

Have you ever wanted to ride the Sky Coaster attraction at SFNE? Well now is your chance! On May 18th, 20th, & 21st from 12pm-8pm team members can ride the Sky Coaster attraction for only $5! SAY WHAT? That's right only $5! This special is only open to SFNE team members and all proceeds collected will go towards Team Ops for Walk in the Park! If you are interested you can come to the park during those hours and days and park in the preferred parking lot. Head right on down to Sky Coaster and for $5 per flight you can ride the most breath-taking, heart- pounding ride!

Hey Admissions HAYY!
Looks like it is that time of the week again to update you guys on the happenings of the Admissions Department. This weekend we are having an Admissions bake sale benefiting Six Flags Walk in the Park. Admissions Leaders Andrea, Courtney, Joanne, & Sara were busy baking some goodies for the charity bake sale. Here are some photos that were taken during their baking marathon:

It was a pleasant night of baking for the Admissions team. Obviously from that last picture Andrea & Jojo were wiped out from all the stirring and complaining they did throughout the night. Here are some pictures of Admissions Leaders Mike & Sara enjoying the spoils of the bake sale:

This week's Admissions Leader of the week is our Lead Sarah! Here are a few pictures of Sarah performing different duties throughout her day:

Sarah is currently a Lead in the Admissions Department and this is her fourth year working with us. Sarah's favorite color is blue and her favorite TV show is MTV's TrueLife. Her current song of the moment is Two Becomes One by Atreyu. In her free time she likes to watch her favorite movie Transformers. While working at the park she likes to hang out with Bugs Bunny and is excited to ride her favorite ride, the newly transformed Bizarro ride. If she could see any concert for free of charge she would want to see Linkin Park. Her favorite part of working in Admissions is the team members and her favorite area to run is the front gate itself. Her dream job is to work at Google in their Google Plex. She is graduating from high school this Spring and is heading to college in the Fall. She will be majoring in Psychology. Although she is excited to delve into the world of Psychology her favorite subject in school currently is Math. Finally, her favorite animal, after Snoogals & Bubbles of course, is cats.

Well that was a lot of information on Sarah but now we at all know a little bit more about her. It will be exciting in the up coming weeks to learn more about all of our Leaders.

Hello Admissions Team Members! This week's blog is all about food!.....well for the most part it is. The first thing we have going on is The Admissions Bake Sale taking place next weekend! The sale will be benefiting Team Ops in reaching their sponsorship goal for Six Flags Walk in the Park! SF Walk in the Park will be taking place on June 14th 2009 and all proceeds raised will benefit pediatric cancer treatment. It is a great cause and Team Ops is hoping to raise a lot of money so make sure you guys bring cash with you next weekend and some hungry tummies! They are a steal deal because they provide unlimited refills at the Superhero Grill! SAY WHAT? Yes it is true! Free refills all day, every day, all summer!!

This week we are starting our Admissions Leadership Spotlight Series! (ooooohhhhhh!) This week we are starting with Admissions Lead Andrea!

Andrea is a Lead in Admissions and her favorite colors are pink & black. If she could eat one meal for the rest of her life it would be a grilled cheese. Although she loves Snoogals, she is not a fan of other animals unless it is a small dog. Her song of the moment is Womanizer by Britney Spears and she loves to drink Diet Coke with Lime. Her favorite SFNE ride is the Cyclone roller coaster. She enjoys to spend her free time watching Paranormal State & Ghost Hunters. When those shows are not on she likes to ghost hunt herself. Her zodiac sign is the Aries which explains her adventurous attitude and spirit! Andrea hopes to be a psychiatric nurse one day and her favorite restaurant is Chili's.
