Two More Weeks!

Good morning Admissions Team Members! In exactly two weeks the park will be open and ready for business! Many of you have already attended Admissions General Certification and many more of you will be attending in the next few weeks!

This past weekend we had another successful Admissions General Certification taught by Mike, Dan, & Andrea. There was also a Guest Relations training that took place. It was great to get to meet all of the new team members and reminisce with all of the returning team members.

This week Snoogals has returned to work and he sent us an e-mail as to how he is transitioning from lounging around poolside to doing actual labor. Once again translated from Lemur to English by our PTC Joanne:

Dear Admissions Team Members,
I have completed both my Admissions General Certification and Guest Relations trainings and the park has already put me back to work. I have done various tasks such as sweep out the turnstile house, add a fresh coat of paint to Season Pass, add some feng shui to Lost and Found, and test out the high chairs in the Baby Care Center. All of this hard work has both made me very tired but also very excited for the upcoming season. There are many new exciting additions to the park this season. There will be the return of a ride we used to have and then a whole new attraction placed in the park. I would reveal these new additions to you now but then would would be the incentive to read the blog next week? Well I need to finish watching the movie Twilight before I head into work and answer guests phone calls on the Information Line. I will however leave you with a picture of me after installing the ticket scanners in the turnstile house.

Hey Y'all!

Good Afternoon Admissions!!!!! A lot of very important things have been happening this past week. Saturday was the first Admissions General Certification. Congrats to Joanne, Mike, & Dan for making it awesome! It was great to see a lot of returners and meet some of our new team members!

On Sunday all of our Supervisors & Leads (minus Lois) gathered at the park for Admissions Leadership Training. To recap you guys here is a role call of all the Admissions Supervisors: Mike, Brittany, Therese, Dan, Charlie, Courtney, Lynn, & Carla. A role call of our Leads is: Sarah, Kaitlyn, Sharon, Maureen, Nate, Ben, & Andrea. In the upcoming weeks we will try to introduce you to each leadership member on the blog. In the training they learned about the new changes in the Admissions Department and relearned some of our operating procedures. Luckily we had someone there with a camera ready to snap some shots, enjoy:

I think it is also very important to mention that our former Full Time Supervisor, Matt, was there to pass off some final words of wisdom. He really captivated the class:

With wardrobe ready and open and trainings already underway; there is a feeling of excitement in the air for the upcoming 2009 season. We know that this will be an undeniably amazing season and we can’t wait for all the fun to begin. Until next week we will leave you with this picture of Snoogals & Bubbles:

Good Afternoon Admissions!!

Hello Admissions bloggers! The park is very busy right now preparing for opening day, but we figured we should at least keep you updated on the happenings in the park. A lot of team members wonder what exactly happens during the off season so here is a little info on what goes on:

Up top we have Guest Relations Supervisor Courtney busy answering phone calls on the park's info line. Many guests do call year round so she is often busy. To the bottom we have Admissions PTC Joanne putting some last minute finishing touches on the Admissions General Certification. As you heard last week Snoogals is back and you can see him helping Joanne with the training.

Our Full Time Sara has been so busy getting Admissions ready for opening day. We tried to snap a pic of her but she was just moving so fast that you can hardly see her! She is giving The Flash a run for his money.

Admissions General Certifications begins tomorrow so we must keep the wheels turning and make sure we don't lose the process. We hope to see all of you real soon and don't forget to be in proper uniform grooming guidelines! Here is a pic of all the Admission Supervisors (minus Carla) to hold you over til next week!

Hello Admissions!

Good Morning Admissions Department! With the beginning of March on Sunday The 2009 season is rolling upon us soon! This past weekend our leadership team was busy interviewing potential team members at the SFNE Job Fair. Luckily we had a world renowned paparazzi present snapping shots for the blog:

These were just a few of the Admissions team members present for the Job Fair. Special Thanks to all of you who worked the Job Fair!

In other news the first Admissions General Certification will be taking place next Saturday the 14th from 9am-2pm at the Human Resources building. Every following Saturday there will be more Admissions General Certifications at the same time and place. Another reminder that Wardrobe will be opening on March 17th. Any trainings you are signed up for after March 17th you must attend in proper & complete grooming uniform guidelines.

In other SFNE Admissions news we received an e-mail from our beloved Admissions mascot Snoogals McGoogals. Our PTC Joanne translated the e-mail from Lemur to English:

Dear Admissions Team Members,
My fantastic Bahamas vacation has come to an end and my plane lands back in Massachusetts on March 5th. I expect the Admissions van ready with refreshments to pick me up on time. I am very excited for the 2009 season to be starting soon. We will have a great team full of returning & new team members. I've heard that our Full Time Supervisor Sara has a lemur of her own named Bubbles. Whilst I am happy to share the spotlight I hope we ALL know who the beloved mascot around the department is. However I am excited and willing to make new furry friends around the office. I've included a picture of me and my new friend Blake Lively. Perhaps you've heard of her? She is one of the stars of the CW's Gossip Girl Series. I'm on her speed dial. I tried to recruit her for the 2009 season and although she was very interested in joining our department; she was too busy with her tv show. Alas I need to go and get ready to head to the airport. I hope to see all of you're smiling faces soon!
