Like we mentioned last week, Sara is coming to us from the rides department and has been with Six Flags New England since 2002. Sara is going to be a great addition to the Admissions Team and is very excited to be joining our department.

Admissions General Certification will be beginning on March 14th. If you are part of the Admissions department and have not yet been scheduled for a training please contact Human Resources as soon as possible (413)786-9300 ext.3100.

Also, a friendly reminder that Wardrobe opens on March 17th. If you have any trainings after March 17th it is expected and required that you be in proper uniform grooming guidelines.


This weekend Six Flags will be holding it's Job Fair and we will have an update on it in next week's blog. Well that is all for a now, hope to see you all next week. Have a Six Flags week!

Hello fellow Admissions team members! Our apologies the blog has not been updated in forever, we've been busy getting ready for the 2009 season and getting Snoogals house trained again has been taking longer than expected. We have alot of new, exciting ideas coming up for the new season, but first we thought it would seem better to update you guys on some happenings in the park. First off as most of you may already know Matt is no longer our full time Admission Supervisor. He is now in charge of our Park Services Department.Feel free to grab a tissue if need be. However, Sara who was one of the full time Rides Supervisors will be taking his spot. Sarah has been with SFNE since 2002 and she is very excited to be in the Admissions Department. We will have a blog entry dedicated just to Sara next week.

Another new addition to the 2009 season is that all Supervisors & Leads must become CPR certified. On February 14th a few Admissions Supervisiors & Leads became certified.
The above left picture is of Joanne & Mike doing compressions on a CPR dummy. To the right is them giving breaths. The training will definately help improve the quality of safety in the Admissions Department. If you are a Supervisor or Lead and have not yet been scheduled for CPR certification please contact the human resource department. Our final part of our blog this week is a message we received a message in a bottle from Snoogals. The following has been translated from lemur to English:

Dear Admissions team members,
The 2009 season is upon us. Soon the gates will be opening, sellers will be escorted to their booths, Matt LaRiccia will be straightening trash cans, and I will be atop my water cooler kingdom in the back room of Guest Relations. I can almost hear the roar of the Tolls van in the distance. Currently I am in the Bahamas relaxing all my cars away, but alas I will be returning shortly for some sweet SFNE trainings! Just a friendly reminder to all you team members , you must be in grooming guidelines for ALL of your trainings! This means you must show up in professional attire, no facial hair, nail polish neutral or removed, no earrings if you are male and two if you are a female. We know all of you can meet these standards and we hope to see all of your sparkling faces during training. Well I am off to splish splash in the warm ocean water, I will try to write again next week. I hope you all are having a Six Flags Day!!
