So Lonely.......

Wow team it has been 12 days since we closed for the season and let us just say we are currently floating in a hurricane bay sized pool of sadness. Since the park has closed there have been a few small changes to our Admissions Department. Along with Jojo & Courtney working the Information Center we also have the addition of Mr. Rude. While he has great availability we are unsure how long Mr. Rude will last as he has accumulated quite a number of rude complaints in his short time here. Snoogals have been on a vacation this past week and we hope once he returns he will take all of Mr.Rude's hours.
One thing Mr. Rude is good at is taking pictures. We sent him out to the Main Gate to snap some photos.

Out at the Main Gate all you can hear is silence. . . . well except for that one Halloween sign that someone neglected to take down. That sign is still blowing strong and banging into every part of that metal detector.

ATTENTION! GLAMOROUS ANNOUNCEMENT!
Have you ever been unable fall asleep at night due to thinking about how you always wanted to be a Lead in the Admissions Department? Have you looked at the way the red lettering stood out on that white name tag and thought gosh. . . . if only that were me! Well now is your chance to be considered for a position of a Lead in the Admission Department! Candidates should be able to provide a flexible schedule in the summer of 2010. All Candidates must display a professional and mature demeanor at all times, provide superior service to all guests, and possess a strong safety focus on all aspects of the Admissions Department. Team Leads must oversee, enforce, and follow all safety standards set by Six Flags New England and the State of Massachusetts. Candidates are also expected to demonstrate proactive guest service in all areas of Admissions. If you are interested in being considered for filling a Lead position in our Admissions Department please contact the park at 413-786-9300 ext. 0 and ask for Sara from Admissions.

The Admissions/Aquatics holiday party is currently in the works. The party will have food, fun, prizes, oh yeah and MYSTERY! What kind of mystery you ask??? End of Season!

Good Afternoon Admissions team members! WHEW! Can you believe the 2009 season is over?? It seems like just yesterday we were stocking maps in the turnstile house, processing season passes, and hustling & bustling out in the booths & tolls. On behalf of Kristin, Sara, Jojo, Admissions Supervisors, & Snoogals we want to THANK YOU ALL for such an awesome season! You guys did a great job and our department would just not have been the same without each and every one of you! We hope to see you all at our rehire event in 2010!!

We would like to congratulate Robert for winning the ADMISSIONS WII EXTRAVAGANZA! Robert sold the most 2010 season passes during two of our weekends. The person who sold the most 2010 season passes each week had their name placed into a hat and today the winner was pulled. So congrats once more Robert!

After receiving his WII Robert proceeded to jump around the Operations porch in excitement for several minutes. Last time he was seen he was cartwheeling his way over to the preferred parking lot. Way to go Robert! Thanks to all of you who participated in this contest!

Although the park has not even been closed for 24 hours we have received several e-mails from our Admissions mascot Snoogals McGoogals. We decided to post one on here,

Dear Admissions,
It is with the uttermost sorrows that we must say goodbye for the winter. I am so sad this season is over that I resorted to eating peanuts all day. I will miss all of you dearly. I will miss mopping up the sticky soda on the floors of the selling booths after cans have been collected. I will miss sweeping up those little squares on the back of the sticky part of vip wristbands in the outermall. I will miss the season pass printers running out of ink and no one knowing how to replace the cartridge. I will miss lugging 20 pounds worth of wet towels & backpacks from water park guest relations to lost and found. I will miss the way the registers would freeze in the middle of a transaction when I would have a line out to the bridge. I will miss the way guests would ignore the "please do not place diapers in the trash" sign on the trash cans in the baby care center. I will miss guarding the water the cooler in guest relations. But above all I will miss all of my 2009 Admissions team members. You all made this season spectacular and I can only hope 2010 is just as grand! I will be wandering the park from time to time during the winter so make sure you check back here for some updates from me. I will miss you all and I hope that none of you forget me!!
-Snoogals McGoogals

OMGZ THIS BLOG IS STILL AROUND?

Oh geez. Oh gosh. Oh man.

We would like to apologize because it's been around a month since we've had a glamorous admissions blog entry. We've been very busy this summer! From the tolls in the parking lot, to the ticket booths, processing season passes, and our guest relations office we have all be keeping very busy! We are going to continue with our Admissions Leader of the week phenomenon with our Lead Nate! Here are some pictures of Nate hard at work in the Admissions department:

Nate’s most favorite food to eat is sushi and he loves to eat it during his fav show CSI:NY. His favorite book is Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince. He is going to school in hopes of one day being in the C.I.A. he gets the most enjoyment out of his homeland security class. When it comes to SFNE Nate loves to ride the Bizarro coaster and his favorite character is Bugs Bunny! He likes to run all the different areas in Admissions. Nate has worked in Admissions for 3 seasons and this is his first as a Lead. His favorite band is Cobra Starship (SAY WHAT? What a coincidence! That is also Snoogals’s favorite band!) His song of the moment is New Divide by Linkin Park. His favorite animal is a panda, although he is a huge fan of lemurs! Nate has a good handful of guest compliments & does awesome on all his Guest Service Audits! Keep up the good work Nate, WE APPRECIATE YOU!

OMG! LEMUR DOWN! LEMUR DOWN!

WHEW! Thanks Nate! We almost had to call first aid there for a second!

This week GR had a glamorous intern visiting. His name was Ned and he was amazing! He handled guest concerns great and even got the team members bumped up for work! He was allowed to be outside of grooming guidelines because, well, his clothes were sewn onto him. It caused quite a scandal! Ned will truly be missed and we want to wish him all the best of luck! Last we heard he was planning on hanging out in some gardens with some pink flamingos. Here is a picture of Ned & GR attendant Melissa:

The Admissions PIE ME! event has come and passed. It was fun for all who came! There was pizza, soda, and of course pie! We want to close out this week's blog with a picture of our Full Time Supervisor Sara about to get pied!

Well that is all for this weeks edition of the Admissions Blog! We will make a sincere effort to update the blog every week! Check back next time ya'll!

His all time favorite singer is Ozzy Osbourne. For TV shows Ben enjoys watching House and CSI: Miami. In his free time Ben likes to go on road trips to crazy places, usually involving food Krispy Kreme comes to mind. His favorite food to eat is Enchiladas! Or hot wings. Different food locations that Ben enjoys are Krispy Kreme., Chipotle's, & Red Robin. His favorite beverage is Kool-aid, of the red or blue variety. Ben would love to have a career as either a small-town mechanic or a teacher; both rewarding careers.

Thank you Ben for doing the interview for this week's blog!

This past week the Admissions Office was taken over by Coke cans! DUNDUNDUN! Never fear though! Some of our Admissions team members are defeating these invaders buy guzzling down their caffeinated goodness! Keep up the good work team!

The Admissions Pie-Me event is taking place on Sunday July 26th after park hours. For every written Guest compliment an Admissions team member receives you will receive one pie point. If you are GSA audited and receive an average of 4.0 or above you will also receive a pie point. Based on your number of pie points you will be able to pie an Admissions Supervisor, Sara, or Jojo in the face with a pie. Each leader has an assigned number of pie points and you must have that minimum number of points to pie that person. The minimum number of points for each leader are as follows:

DUN DUN DUN

WHOA!
Two blog entries within two days??? SAY WHAT? Now that is just craziness! It is blog-MANIA! I guess our blog writer couldn't stay away from you guys too long!

We are going to start off this entry with our Admissions Leader of the Week Dan! Here are some pictures of Dan hard at work calling in the park count, talking to Ben, and getting a stern stare from Snoogals.

Now on to some fun facts about Dan. This is his 3rd season with SFNE Admissions. He spent one season as a Lead and this is his first as a Supervisor. His favorite musical artist is Jordin Sparks and his song of the moment is her song "Battlefield." His favorite television show is 24. He is not a real big fan of books. His favorite class in school was graphic design and he is going college for Business Info Systems. For those of us who are not tech savvy that is the merging of computers and business. He is not a fan of theme park rides, but he does like Crimewave. Bugs Bunny is his favorite Looney Tunes character. After lemurs, his favorite animal is a cat. In his free time he likes to play on his computer, swim, hang out w/friends, go bowling, and text on his cell phone. If Dan could live anywhere in the world he would live in Hawaii. His most favorite meal is macaroni and cheese with ham mixed in. His astrological sign is a Virgo which explains why he is a perfectionist.

Today Guest Relations got a splendid visit from Caitie. Caitie is a former Admissions Supervisor who is now a PTC in our HR department. Snoogals became very emotional when Caitie came in because it has been so long since he has received a visit from her. Here is a picture of their momentous reunion:

Since there is so much Snoogals in this week's blog, Bubbles went a little renegade and stormed down to the Superhero's grille. Here is a picture of Bubbles and ride supervisor Nina:

Here is a picture of Bubbles, a delicious taco salad, and a refillable sports bottle.
